Brunch in Manassas centers on one block of Battle Street downtown, where three restaurants open weekend mornings within a few doors of each other, a short walk from the train depot. Brunch restaurants

Battle Street Bistro

Battle Street Bistro opens at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday service ending at 3 p.m. Weekday hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. The bistro says it is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Menus are posted on its menus page.

Public House Kitchen and Brewery

Public House brews its own beer and opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays, an hour before its Monday and Thursday to Saturday opening. Its website links a separate brunch menu with brunch cocktails alongside the main menu. Its posted closing time is 2 a.m.

Monza

Monza serves brick oven pizza, house-made pastas, salads and sandwiches, and opens at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant says it takes reservations for lunch and brunch and has a patio and yard. Monza has posted special brunch menus for holidays, including Mother’s Day.

• The Lemonade Bakery, 9410 Main St.: a peanut, nut and egg free bakery, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday; closed Monday.
• Grounds Central Station, 9360 Main St.: a coffee roaster and cafe, listed in HMI’s directory.

Saturday mornings at the market

The Historic Manassas Farmers Market runs Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Water Tower lot, 9116 Prince William St., by the train depot.
