Trains: the Historic Manassas Railway Festival

Historic Manassas Inc.’s Railway Festival marked its 32nd year on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the train depot, 9431 West St., and the Harris Pavilion. The festival is free and has model train displays, memorabilia and vendors. The paid part is a Virginia Railway Express excursion train from Manassas to Clifton and back, with departures at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. in 2026; tickets were $9, or $10 by credit card, sold online and at the depot. HMI’s page says “see you in 2027”; the date had not been posted when we checked.

Car meets

The Edgar Rohr Memorial Car Meet fills the train depot parking lot, 9431 West St.; in 2026 it was Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the city calendar. No Father’s Day car show in the city had been announced for 2027. If you run one, send us the details.
