The renovated 1914 depot is the downtown landmark. It houses the offices of Historic Manassas Inc. (HMI), the nonprofit Virginia Main Street organization that has run downtown revitalization and events since 1986; the Historic Manassas Visitor Center, with maps and brochures; and the James and Marion Payne Railroad Heritage Gallery. The visitor center is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

  • ARTfactory, 9419 Battle St.: the arts center behind theater, galleries, classes, the October haunted house and the December Holiday Market.
