Summer in Manassas starts at Stonewall Park Pool, which opens Memorial Day weekend; the city had not posted 2027 pool dates when we checked. Manassas City Public Schools let out on Friday, June 4, 2027, with an early release. The city’s own camps are arts camps run with the ARTfactory at the new community center, and the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center has an indoor pool and camps of its own. What this means for you

  • Swim cheap: $7 a day, $3.75 after 4 p.m., under-3s free.
  • Kids alone: children must be 11 and able to swim the width of the pool to come without an adult.
  • Heat: the city opens the Community Center, the Manassas City Library and the pool as places to cool off during their normal hours.

Stonewall Park Pool

The city’s outdoor pool is at Stonewall Park, 8300 Stonewall Road. The 2026 season:

In 2026 the pool opened at 2 p.m. on four Saturdays in June and July for swim meets. Closures are posted on the city’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

The pool closes when the air or water is below 70 degrees, and may close for storms or staffing.

Indoor swimming: the Freedom Center

The Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center runs an indoor pool year-round, with swim lessons and its own summer camps. Pool hours are on its pool hours page; phone 703-993-8444.

Summer camps

The city’s camps page says its arts-focused camps at the City of Manassas Community Center, 8750 Sudley Road, are run by the ARTfactory and the Parks, Culture and Recreation division and are open to residents with ZIP code 20110 or students at Manassas City Public Schools. The 2026 lineup on the city calendar included:

  • Anime 101 and Fairy-Tale Adventures, from June 22
  • Jungle Odyssey, July 13-18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Splash pads and water play

The city’s parks list does not include a splash pad. Stonewall Park, around the pool, has pavilions, playgrounds, trails and courts.
