Point of Woods is one of the largest residential areas in Manassas: detached houses on curving streets, with townhouse communities and an apartment complex on its eastern side. The city’s 2045 Comprehensive Plan maps almost all of it as Suburban Neighborhood, the plan’s name for the “dominant form of development in the City,” built mostly since 1950 with “wide, curving streets with cul-de-sacs.” A strip along Mathis Avenue falls in the Mathis character area, which the plan marks for redevelopment.

How we drew this area

School zones and the ZIP code come from laying the city’s school boundary layer and the Census Bureau’s ZIP code areas over those edges. Store locations are © OpenStreetMap contributors.
